Eid Collection Wholesale 2027: When Plus-Size Boutiques Should Order
Eid al-Fitr 2027 is expected on 9 or 10 March, subject to moon sighting, so a plus-size Eid collection needs to be on the shelf by around 22 February. Count backwards through transit, customs and order confirmation to find your own latest order date.

Eid al-Fitr 2027 is expected on Tuesday 9 or Wednesday 10 March, subject to moon sighting, and Gulf card data show clothing spending concentrating late in Ramadan, so a plus-size boutique's Eid collection should be on the shelf by around 22 February 2027, the expected middle of Ramadan. Your latest order date is that shelf date minus your forwarder's transit estimate, your customs broker's buffer and the confirmation and preparation time you agree with our sales team. Work it out now, in October, not in February.
At a glance
- Ramadan 2027: expected to begin around Monday 8 February, subject to moon sighting.
- Eid al-Fitr 2027: expected on Tuesday 9 or Wednesday 10 March, subject to moon sighting.
- Eid al-Adha 2027: expected on Sunday 16 or Monday 17 May, subject to moon sighting.
- Selling window: clothing spending concentrates in the final ten days of Ramadan (Visa card data for Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, Ramadan 2024), so aim for stock on the shelf by around 22 February.
- Türkiye's holidays: Ramazan Bayramı expected from 13:00 on 8 March to 11 March, Kurban Bayramı from 13:00 on 15 May to 19 May 2027 (Diyanet calendar; Law No. 2429).
- Minimum order: $400 per shipment; sizes 34–60.
Dates and holiday rules checked in October 2026. Islamic dates in this article are expected dates; each country's religious authority confirms the final dates.
When does Ramadan 2027 start, and when is Eid al-Fitr 2027?
Ramadan 2027 is expected to begin on or around Monday 8 February 2027, and Eid al-Fitr on Tuesday 9 or Wednesday 10 March 2027, subject to moon sighting. These are the likely dates calculated by UAE astronomers and reported by Khaleej Times: Eid falls on 9 March if the new crescent is sighted on the evening of 8 March, and on 10 March if Ramadan runs to 30 days.
The US Naval Observatory puts the new moons at 15:56 Universal Time on 6 February and 09:29 on 8 March 2027; countries differ in how they confirm the crescent, so final dates are announced nationally.
Türkiye publishes its calendar in advance: Diyanet's 2027 calendar lists 8 February as the first day of Ramadan and 9 March as the first day of Ramazan Bayramı. Plan stock from the earlier date, 9 March, so a one-day difference only gives you extra time.
When should I order Eid stock for 2027?
Order early enough for your Eid stock to be on the shelf by around 22 February 2027, the expected middle of Ramadan. Visa's analysis of Ramadan 2024 card spending in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and the UAE found clothing spending concentrated in the final ten days of the month, as families buy new outfits and gifts for Eid.
- Shelf date, not delivery date. Unpacking, steaming, photographing and posting stock online must happen before the selling window, not inside it.
- A Ramadan collection as well? If you also sell kaftans and loose dresses for Ramadan evenings, run the worksheet again with 8 February, the expected start of Ramadan, as the target.
- Your own history counts. If last year's Eid stock sold earlier in the month, move your shelf date earlier.
How do I calculate my latest order date for Eid?
Count backwards from Eid through four gaps — shelf time, transit, customs clearance and order preparation — and the date you reach is the last day your order list can go in.
- Eid date: Tuesday 9 March 2027, the earlier expected date.
- Minus shelf time: the days before Eid you want stock on the shelf; at least 15 to catch the second half of Ramadan.
- Minus transit: your forwarder's or cargo company's door-to-door estimate from Istanbul, in writing. We do not quote transit times.
- Minus customs clearance: a buffer from your customs broker, including the documents they need from us; our import guide explains the usual paperwork.
- Minus order confirmation and preparation: the time our team needs to confirm stock, size breakdown and final pricing, issue the proforma, receive payment and prepare the shipment. Agree it with your salesperson when you send your list.
- Equals your latest order date. Check it against Türkiye's holidays below. If it has already passed, ask your forwarder about a faster mode or move the order to Eid al-Adha.
A worked example with placeholder numbers
This is a hypothetical buyer. Every figure is an illustrative placeholder to show the arithmetic, not our lead time and not a transit estimate for any real route.
- Eid date: Tuesday 9 March 2027, the earlier expected date.
- Minus 15 days of shelf time: on the shelf by Monday 22 February.
- Minus 10 days of transit and 7 days of customs (placeholders for the forwarder's and broker's figures): goods leave Istanbul by Friday 5 February.
- Minus the confirmation and preparation days agreed with the salesperson: the latest order date.
- Holiday check: 5 February is weeks before Ramazan Bayramı, so nothing moves.
Practical tip: the buyer in this example still sends the list in November. A latest order date is a deadline you never want to test, because a late payment or a missing document eats shelf time first.
When is Türkiye on holiday for Eid in 2027?
Türkiye's Ramazan Bayramı holiday is expected to run from 13:00 on Monday 8 March to Thursday 11 March 2027, and Kurban Bayramı from 13:00 on Saturday 15 May to Wednesday 19 May 2027, so no confirmation, payment or dispatch should depend on those days. The dates follow Diyanet's calendar, and under Türkiye's public holiday law (No. 2429) each Bayram starts at 13:00 on the eve.
- Banks are closed. A transfer sent just before the holiday may only be credited after it.
- Main Eid al-Fitr orders are not affected. They must leave Istanbul before your 22 February shelf date anyway.
- Late top-ups are affected. A top-up for Eid al-Fitr must be confirmed, paid and dispatched before 13:00 on 8 March, and only helps if it arrives before Eid.
- Eid al-Adha coincides with Kurban Bayramı, so the 13:00 cut-off on 15 May only matters for late top-ups; the main Eid al-Adha order must leave Istanbul well before your 1 May shelf date. Agree the last working day before each holiday with your salesperson.
What should a plus-size boutique stock for Eid?
Build a wholesale Eid collection around long-sleeve maxi dresses, then add co-ord sets, kimonos and kaftans, and blouses and tunics, in fabrics that suit your customers' March weather. Eid al-Fitr is traditionally a time when new clothes are worn, so think in complete outfits rather than single basics; our occasion and satin edit gathers the dressier pieces in one place.
- Dresses. Plus-size Eid dresses with long sleeves, maxi lengths and opaque fabrics anchor the order; satin reads as occasionwear, viscose stays comfortable all day.
- Co-ord sets. A matching two-piece looks complete on Eid day and is worn again afterwards.
- Kimonos and kaftans. Open-front layers add coverage over a dress, and kaftans work for Ramadan evenings as well as Eid.
- Blouses and tunics. Something new to wear with trousers or skirts the customer already owns.
- Northern March. In the Maghreb, Iraq, Jordan, France and the UK, March mornings and evenings can still be cool, so a light trench coat over a maxi dress completes the outfit; in the Gulf and West Africa, lighter fabrics lead.
- Southern March. In South Africa, March is late summer turning to autumn: lead with viscose and light layers, and keep warmer pieces for May.
Regional differences in length, sleeves and fabric weight are covered in our market guides for Gulf boutiques and for Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon and Palestine, so this calendar does not repeat them.
Why do sizes 50 to 60 matter in an Eid collection?
Sizes 50 to 60 matter because an Eid outfit has to fit on the day: a customer who wears a 56 cannot settle for a 52, and if your rail stops short she shops elsewhere. Turkish sizes 50 to 60 correspond roughly to UK 22 to 32; our measurements guide gives the body measurements behind each size.
- Families shop together. When several women in one family buy for Eid, a model that runs to 60 can dress all of them.
- Check each model's range. Our catalogue runs from 34 to 60; favour models that reach the top of your customers' range, and check that maxi lengths and sleeves still cover on a 60.
- Full size sets or single pieces. You can order either, and the team confirms the size breakdown for each model when you send your list.
How should I split my Eid budget between a first order and a top-up?
Put the larger part of your budget into one main order timed for the 22 February shelf date, and hold back a smaller part for a top-up of the models that sell first; each shipment must reach the $400 minimum on its own.
- Main order: your core models in depth, dresses and co-ord sets first, placed well before the latest order date.
- Top-up order: the models and colours that sell in the first days, with its own run through the worksheet.
- Long route? If transit plus customs is long, a top-up cannot arrive before Eid al-Fitr; move that money into the main order or your Eid al-Adha order.
- Reaching $400 twice: different models and colours can be combined in each order.
Our reordering and restocking guide explains how to read the first week's sell-through and decide what to reorder.
When should I order for Eid al-Adha 2027?
Eid al-Adha 2027 is expected on Sunday 16 or Monday 17 May, subject to moon sighting, so run the same worksheet from 16 May, remembering that Türkiye's Kurban Bayramı holiday starts at 13:00 on 15 May. Dressing in one's best and visiting family are part of the festival, which makes it a second selling moment.
- Same shelf time: fifteen days before 16 May is 1 May.
- March is your research: the models and colours that sold out before Eid al-Fitr are the strongest candidates.
- Seasons: by mid-May the Gulf, North Africa and West Africa are warm, so viscose and light kaftans lead; in South Africa it is autumn, so add long sleeves, kimonos and light jackets.
- Two more Turkish holidays: 23 April (a Friday in 2027) and 1 May fall in this ordering window.

Frequently asked questions
When does Ramadan 2027 start?
Ramadan 2027 is expected to begin on or around Monday 8 February 2027, subject to moon sighting. Astronomers in the UAE expect the first day of Ramadan there on 8 February, and Türkiye's Diyanet calendar also lists 8 February. The exact start in each country is confirmed by its religious authority.
What is the expected date of Eid al-Fitr 2027?
Eid al-Fitr 2027 is expected on Tuesday 9 March or Wednesday 10 March 2027, subject to moon sighting. It falls on 9 March if the new crescent is seen on the evening of 8 March, and on 10 March if Ramadan completes 30 days. For stock planning, work from the earlier date.
When is Eid al-Adha 2027?
Eid al-Adha 2027 is expected on Sunday 16 or Monday 17 May 2027, subject to moon sighting, with the Day of Arafah on 15 or 16 May. In Türkiye, the Kurban Bayramı public holiday is expected to run from 13:00 on 15 May to 19 May. Plan it as a separate order with its own latest order date.
When should I order Eid stock for my boutique?
Order early enough for the stock to be on your shelf by around 22 February 2027, the expected middle of Ramadan, because Visa's Ramadan 2024 card data for Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and the UAE showed clothing spending concentrated in the final ten days of the month. Count back from that shelf date through your forwarder's transit estimate, your customs broker's buffer and the confirmation and preparation time agreed with your supplier. The result is your latest order date, and ordering well before it leaves room for delays.
How do I calculate the latest order date for Eid stock?
Take the earlier expected Eid date, 9 March 2027, and subtract the days before Eid you want stock on the shelf, your forwarder's transit estimate, your customs clearance buffer and the days your supplier needs to confirm and prepare the order. The date you reach is the last day your order list can go in. If it falls on a Turkish public holiday, send your list on the last working day before it; if it has already passed, you need a faster route or a later selling moment such as Eid al-Adha.
Is Türkiye on holiday during Eid 2027?
Yes. According to Diyanet's calendar and Türkiye's public holiday law, Ramazan Bayramı is expected to run from 13:00 on 8 March to 11 March 2027, and Kurban Bayramı from 13:00 on 15 May to 19 May 2027. Banks are closed on those days, so order confirmation, payment and dispatch should be finished before each holiday begins. Agree the last working day with your salesperson when you send your list.
What sells best in a plus-size Eid collection?
Long-sleeve maxi dresses in satin or viscose are the natural centre of a plus-size Eid collection, followed by co-ord sets, kimonos and kaftans, and blouses or tunics that work with clothes customers already own. For a March Eid in cooler northern-hemisphere markets, a light trench coat over a maxi dress completes the outfit. In South Africa, where March is late summer, lighter fabrics come first.
What is the minimum order for an Eid collection from Disentis Modest?
The minimum for catalogue orders is $400 (or €400) per shipment. Different models and colours can be combined to reach it, and you can order full size sets or single pieces. A top-up order is a separate shipment, so it needs to reach the minimum on its own.
How long will shipping take for my Eid order?
We do not quote transit times, because they depend on your route, your carrier and the time of year. Ask your forwarder or cargo company for a current estimate from Istanbul and your customs broker for a clearance buffer, then agree the confirmation and preparation time with your salesperson when you send your list. Shipping terms are agreed with each order.
